چکیده
Abstract Azo dyes released by the textile industries cause severe damage to environment and living organisms. The degradation of azo is widely studied using enzymatic methods. Laccase a copper-containing enzyme that degrades into less toxic compounds. In this work, crude laccase produced alkaliphile Pseudomonas mendocina in mixed dye showed 0.386 U/mL activity at pH 8.5. A combination green synthesized nanoparticles was used dye. 58.4% 72 h, while photocatalytic 15.9%. copper iodide resulted 15.8% degradation. However, it noticed combined method involving both CuI gave 62.3% 60 min. Interaction with silico analysis predicted binding energy reactive red (−7.19 kcal/mol), brown (−8.57 black (−9.17 kcal/mol) respectively.

Degradation of azo dyes by laccase and ultrasound treatment.
The goal of this work was to investigate the decomposition of azo dyes by oxidative methods, such as laccase and ultrasound treatments. Each of these methods has strong and feeble sides. The laccase treatment showed high decolorization rates but cannot degrade all investigated dyes (reactive dyes), and high anionic strength led to enzyme deactivation. Ultrasound treatment can decolorize all tes...
متن کاملDegradation of azo dyes by Trametes villosa laccase over long periods of oxidative conditions.
Trametes villosa laccase was used for direct azo dye degradation, and the reaction products that accumulated after 72 h of incubation were analyzed. Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) analysis showed the formation of phenolic compounds during the dye oxidation process as well as a large amount of polymerized products that retain azo group integrity. The amino-phenol reactions were ...
متن کاملPhotocatalytic Degradation of Textile Dyes Using Ozonation and Magnetic Nickel Ferrite Nanoparticle
Dye photodegradation using ozone and Nickel ferrite nanoparticle (NFN) as a photocatalyst was studied. The catalyst was synthesized and characterized by FT-IR, SEM and XRD. Textile dyes including Remazol Red RB (RRRB) and Direct Green B (DGB) were degraded as model compounds. Dye degradation was investigated using UV–Vis and ion chromatography (IC) analyses. The effect of catalyst dosage, pH, s...
متن کاملStudies on the laccase-mediated decolorization, kinetic, and microtoxicity of some synthetic azo dyes
BACKGROUND Enzymatic elimination of synthetic dyes, one of the most environmentally hazardous chemicals, has gained a great interest during the two last decades. The present study was performed to evaluate the decolorization and detoxification potential of the purified laccase of Paraconiothyrium variabile in both non-assisted and hydroxybenzotriazole-aided form against six azo dyes. RESULTS ...
متن کاملToxicity assessment and microbial degradation of azo dyes.
Toxic effluents containing azo dyes are discharged from various industries and they adversely affect water resources, soil fertility, aquatic organisms and ecosystem integrity. They pose toxicity (lethal effect, genotoxicity, mutagenicity and carcinogenicity) to aquatic organisms (fish, algae, bacteria, etc.) as well as animals. They are not readily degradable under natural conditions and are t...
